The Ambiguity finder

The Ambiguity finder provides an convenient way to quickly locate and edit ambiguous positions in a contig.  The Ambiguity finder is a dialog box that remains visible while you edit.  When an ambiguity is found, the ambiguous position is automatically scrolled into view, and the caret is placed in the consensus sequence at the ambiguous column.

To use the Ambiguity finder:

  • Press the Ambiguity finder button on the toolbar to show the Ambiguity finder.
  • Select the Caret placement you prefer, before or after the ambiguity.
  • Press Next to move the caret to the next ambiguity.
  • Press Previous to move the caret to the previous ambiguity.
